Vintages - 2006 for Valle Reale
We remember 2006 as one of the most anomalous years for the Valle Reale territory.
During the summer months, the temperatures remained around average, but rainfall was far above average for this period. September was a hot month with rainfall evenly distributed over the course of thirty days. Instead, the temperatures in October reached maximum levels that were considerably higher than average and the day-night difference in temperature was accentuated. During the weeks prior to the grape harvest, there was no important rainfall and the vendemmia began on November 11th.
