Vintages - 2005 for Valle Reale
The climatic situation of 2005 was in keeping with what is usually recorded in this zone of the Abruzzo foothills. However, the element that characterised the year was certainly the snow, which fell heavily. The temperatures of the summer months respected the average values with limited precipitation during the month of July, but more intense in August. September was outstanding for hot days alternating with cool nights, while in October the minimum temperatures were slightly higher than average and during the first half of the month there were important precipitations. On November 12th, we began harvesting the grapes in the vineyards of Popoli.
This was the year that the first forms of recognition began arriving for our wines, especially for the San Calisto cru.
