2011 - The Convent Vineyard
In the Capestrano's vineyard, we always produced the trebbiano and most part of the montepulciano that we usually flows into our classical line. However, since the vineyard has reached its first years of maturity, we are working in the highest parcel, near the Convent of St. Francesco , in order to obtain a perfect ripeness of grapes, looking for making a red wine able to challange the years. In 2011, after several vintages, we found the ideal fenolic conditions for this wine. The vinification takes place in a 25-quintal oak barrel in compliance with the antique Abruzzo's tradition.
